6 Reasons To Switch To HubSpot In 2019 (If You Haven't Already)

Written by Aaren Ruggles | Mar 5, 2019 2:00:00 PM

HubSpot has always been our go-to marketing software. The all-inclusive features and customizability of the software have helped us create stunning, lead-converting marketing machines for our clients.

But who says “the best” can’t get better?

This year, HubSpot has continued the trend of dominating the marketing software industry and has whipped out new integrations, ventures, capabilities, and more.

Check out a few of the changes that came (or are coming to) HubSpot in 2019...

1. There are 94 new apps to enjoy.

As if HubSpot wasn’t already a full package deal, the platform now connects with over 200 official apps. This year, HubSpot connects with 94 new apps, growing their ecosystem by over 70%. Um, yes, please!

You may recognize some of these popular apps of 2018:

  • Shopify

  • Mailchimp

  • Slack

  • SurveyMonkey

  • Eventbrite

  • Salesforce

  • GoToWebinar

  • Hotjar

  • UberConference

Several of our clients have already taken advantage of the Shopify integration and are now selling their products and closing deals within the HubSpot platform.

2. There are more experienced HubSpot Partners available now than ever.

If you’ve ever taken a look HubSpot’s seemingly unending list of features, you know just how easy it is to get overwhelmed with the marketing software. If marketing software was Mexican food, HubSpot would be the taco stuffed with so many toppings you can barely fit it into your mouth. And you really, really want to, because it’s delicious.

If you don’t have the time to learn every aspect of the software, you might worry about messing up your site or your workflows. That’s where a HubSpot Agency Partner comes in. These agencies have spent years learning the ins and outs of HubSpot and know exactly how to help you get the most out of it.

In Spring of 2019, HubSpot is hosting its second annual Partner Day as a way to celebrate the growing number of Partners and give the inside scoop on all the changes coming this year. Details haven’t been released yet, but we’re excited to book our tickets!

3. HubSpot is now partnering with Amazon Web Services to help support Startups.

Startups don’t have it easy. Competition is fierce, business is scarce, and funds are stretched thin. While HubSpot’s capabilities can help enhance your marketing tactics and provide better analytic reporting, many new businesses put off purchasing the program until the business is “off the ground.”

If their business does stay afloat, they face the more difficult challenge of integrating HubSpot into their existing system and focusing on marketing. To make the whole process a lot more simple, HubSpot offers HubSpot for Startups, which includes lower pricing on the Growth Suite software, videos and educational content, and executive mentorship. It’s everything your business could need and more!

But this year, HubSpot wanted to take it a step further. The company partnered with Amazon Web Services, allowing all AWS Activate members to access HubSpot for Startups. (If you’re already a HubSpot for Startups users, you also have access to Activate membership and credits.)

4. HubSpot is rolling out their $30M startup investment fund later this year.

On the same note, Startups who live and breathe the HubSpot culture could receive funding thanks to the new HubSpot Ventures. That’s right. HubSpot is giving away money to help qualifying startups grow and become the successful businesses they’re destined to be.

In the words of Andrew Lindsay, VP of Corporate & Business Development at HubSpot, “We will seek out companies that take the long-view of success by putting customers first, investing in an inclusive company culture, and delivering a highly differentiated product.”

Each company selected also has to:

  • Be building a leading SaaS-based product

  • Be raising a Seed, Series A, or Series B round with a lead investor

  • Align with HubSpot’s mission to help grow millions of organizations

  • Have the potential to offer a unique value to the HubSpot community

  • Represent the values of HubSpot’s Customer Code & Culture Code

Even if you aren’t qualified for HubSpot Ventures, it’s still exciting to see such a huge tech giant supporting the little guys and supporting the industry for the greater good.

5. The Drag & Drop Tool works better than ever.

Last year, HubSpot announced a new drag and drop email tool. While still in beta version, we’ve had plenty of opportunities to test out the software, and we’re pretty big fans. (Gabe will tell you so herself).

Email design has never been limited in the HubSpot software, per se, but plugging in different elements was a bit of a hassle. The new email tool allows you to:

  • Access new additional templates

  • Quickly and easily add sections and content to an email

  • Swap background colors and add background images in seconds

  • Use columns to organize your content

And, it’s much quicker and easier to use. Customizing your emails is an excellent way to ensure the branding of your business stays consistent, capture the readers’ attention, and make the content your own.

6. You can now track Facebook ad engagement directly in HubSpot.

Thanks to the ever-changing Facebook news feeds algorithms, organic posts reach less than 2% of your followers. The need for advertising is real, and many businesses have turned to ads as a way to get their content in front of the right audience.

HubSpot hasn’t provided much in terms of Facebook ads — until now. In February 2019, HubSpot added ‘Likes’ and ‘Engagements’ to the social reporting side of the software, allowing businesses to evaluate the success of ads and make changes accordingly. It’s exceedingly handy to have all your reports in one place.

Fingers crossed for more social features in the future!
