Now that we all feel like we have an understanding of the so called beast that is Facebook for Business, it might be time to move to its much more lovable younger brother, Instagram. Many brands have been using Instagram for some time now, but Instagram has recently rolled out Instagram for Business, which changes everything. Let’s get started with some of the basics.
How To Set Up Your Instagram For Business Account
Here's a quick four-step guide to set up your Instasgram for Business account.
- First, you’re going to either click on the storefront icon, or go to Settings and click Switch to Business.
- Second, you will connect your Facebook page to Instagram, or authorize it if you have already done so.
- Third, you will click your business page. If you have multiple accounts, like me, make sure there is a check by the appropriate one.
- Lastly, you will include your business contact information. If you already have it on your Facebook page, it should autofill.
From here, you should post a new picture and take a look at the insights/analytics. Share a couple of pictures that support your brand and message, let them populate for a week, and then take a look.
It might surprise you on how powerful this information will become. Most importantly, it will give you a better understanding into which posts your followers enjoy seeing the most, because let’s face it, up until this update, we’ve all been taking shots in the dark, hoping we figure out what’s working, and what is not.
