If you’re a business, you’ve more than likely been active on Facebook for a couple of years. In fact, Facebook has formed its algorithm to benefit you.
Now, Facebook has become the king of forcing business down everyone’s throats. But exactly how do you reach your customers and address their concerns?
Facebook can be very beneficial to marketers and salespeople, but there are best practices for properly using it.
Here are a few dos and don’ts to keep in mind when marketing your business through Facebook.
DO: Strategically post on your page.
DON’T: Use the “Stories” feature and expect major results. Many people have 500+ friends; it becomes too much.
While it looks like there is no end in sight when it comes to Facebook’s competition with Snapchat, they might have gone too far this time. Marketers can only grab onto so much. Trying to fit Snapchat, Instagram Stories and everything else into your schedule is already A LOT! I think we all have to stick to our guns on this one and not adopt.
DO: Use it to politely communicate with your customers.
DON’T: Use the voice messaging feature. Just because it’s on Facebook doesn’t mean it’s not still cold calling.
One of the biggest pain points I hear from everyone at our office, friends and family is that at least once a week someone tries to sell them something via voice messaging on Facebook.
Don’t you hate it when you have that one friend that always leaves a voicemail when you miss their call? Don’t be that person! Social media and modern technology have completely eradicated the need for cold calling. The fact that people are using it on there is a social media sin!
DO: Install Growth Bot
DON’T: Spend hours researching potential leads or information. Growth Bot does it all for you.
If you are a marketer, you need GrowthBot. It will seriously cut hours out of your week that you would normally spend on researching. GrowthBot is an A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) chat bot that will search the internet in a second and find the information you are looking for.
We use it to get background information on leads, research social platforms, domains, etc. It is a pretty amazing tool that HubSpot has released. It has really shaped our processes at ROI.
Facebook Messenger can be your best ally if you use it correctly and avoid the don’ts at all cost!
